Continuing research on a foosball table with autonomous Player 2 using computer vision to track ball and linear actuators to move the players.

Tap Dancer. Nine years on ‘the team.’ So what? As a tapper, I’m good at ‘following the steps’ and coming up with new ones, adjusting for error on the fly, staying calm under pressure, and looking those smug judges in the eyes. Smiiiiile!

Amateur Astronomer. Started with a 3lb Orion telescope. Set it up on campus and helped people look at the moon and constellations.Now have a Skymax 180 ‘planet killer’ and track the stars and moon phases. Host homeschool groups and other sky lovers. I participate in the annual Cape Fear Star Party at Carolina Beach teaching attendees some astronomy history, how to use the equipment and recognize star formations.3D Design Dabbler. Love designing various ideas and ‘parts’  in Fusion 360.

Conducted component lifecycle analysis and sourced suitable replacements for obsolete parts, preserving design integrity and minimizing production delays.
